Services Asbestos Surveys
Asbestos Surveys
The first stage of any asbestos related work is the survey; carrying out a detailed inspection to establish if asbestos is present within a building/premises, a service which we deliver to clients throughout UK with the help of our qualified surveyors network.
All surveys are carried out by fully qualified BOHS P402 surveyors, and in accordance with the HSG264 Asbestos: The Survey Guide.
The dutyholder is the owner of the non-domestic premises or the person or organisation that has clear responsibility for the maintenance or repair of non-domestic premises. It is the responsibility of the duty holder to commission the asbestos survey in all non-domestic properties, as per The Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012 (CAR 2012). Within such premises, any known ACMs should be annually re-inspected by a trained or competent person.

Asbestos Surveys We Provide
Whether you own a Commercial, Industrial or Residential property, our expert team can help you carry out any type of survey as per your requirements.
Asbestos Management Surveys
The main aim of a management survey is to allow you, as the dutyholder, to produce an asbestos register and an asbestos management plan. Its purpose is to locate, as far as reasonably practicable, the presence and extent of any suspect asbestos-containing materials within a building, which could be damaged or disturbed during normal occupancy.
Asbestos Refurbishment/Demolition Surveys
This asbestos survey is necessary before any refurbishment or planned demolition work in a property. It is much more intrusive and involves destructive inspection methods. This can include, lifting floor coverings, breaking through walls/ceilings and behind wall cladding to gain access to all areas within the building depending on the scope of work. The area being surveyed must be, wherever possible, vacated.
Re-inspection Survey
An asbestos re-inspection survey is designed to allow the duty holder to monitor and record the condition of any previously identified asbestos products within a building. Asbestos-containing materials are subject to potential damage and degradation. As an asbestos product degrades it can be more likely to become a hazard to health, therefore should be inspected at regular intervals to ensure its condition has not deteriorated. An existing Asbestos survey or Asbestos Register should be in place to carry our Re-inspection survey.
