The first stage of any asbestos related work is the survey; carrying out a detailed inspection to establish if asbestos is present within a building/premises, a service which we deliver to clients across Scotland and North of England.

All surveys are carried out by fully qualified BOHS P402 or CCP (Asbestos) surveyors, and in accordance with the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2006 and HSG264 Asbestos: The Survey Guide.

The dutyholder is the owner of the non-domestic premises or the person or organisation that has clear responsibility for the maintenance or repair of non-domestic premises, for example through an explicit agreement such as a tenancy agreement or contract. Clyde environmental can provide a wide range of support services to help you with your responsibilities and your compliance with applicable regulation.

Management surveying

It’s a standard survey, its purpose is to locate, as far as reasonably practicable, the presence and extent of any suspect asbestos containing materials within a building, which could be damaged or disturbed during normal occupancy.

Refurbishment and demolition surveying

Normally needed before any refurbishment or demolition work is carried out, these types of surveys are used to locate, as far as reasonably practicable, all asbestos containing materials in the area where the refurbishment work will take place or in the whole building if demolition is planned. The survey will be fully intrusive and involve destructive inspection,as necessary, to gain access to all areas, including those that may be difficult to reach.
